The Biochemistry Department of the Falireas Medical Microbiology Center specializes in the analysis of biochemical indicators for the accurate diagnosis and monitoring of diseases. With modern biochemical blood tests, we evaluate metabolic, hepatic, renal and cardiac function, as well as the balance of electrolytes in the body. The tests are performed using modern automated biochemical analyzers, applying cutting-edge methods such as chromatography, enzymatic reactions and electrochemiluminescence. In this way, we ensure reliable results for early diagnosis and effective therapeutic approach.

It has the ability to run 800 clinical biochemistry tests & 200 immunology tests simultaneously. This is the leading machine in the world and unique in the Peloponnese with the most modern technology in the medical field, with no other company having comparable technology.
The BS-240Pro is a biochemical analyzer for laboratories, with a small footprint and excellent durability. It features up to 100 sample positions and 100 reagent positions (50 fixed + 50 interchangeable), a photometric system with 100μL minimum reaction volume and serves with high efficiency, reaching 360 tests per hour.

The department performs cultures and tests for bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections. Antibiograms, detection of infectious agents, etc.
In the hematology department, a complete blood count, hemoglobinopathy testing, blood group, coagulation testing (INR, APTT, fibrinogen) and thrombophilia factors are performed.
The immunology department performs a wide range of tests for autoimmune diseases, allergies, viral infections and sexually transmitted diseases.
In the hormonal department of our laboratory, indicative tests are performed for thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, infertility and pregnancy.
