What is the difference in how they function?
Colon AiQ: Detects whether molecular traces of cancer are present in the blood, with no preparation or invasive procedure required.
Colonoscopy: It is an invasive, visual method that allows the gastroenterologist to view the inside of the colon, locate the exact position of a lesion, and, if necessary, proceed with polyp removal (therapeutic intervention).
Colon AiQ: A molecular blood test performed in a specialized laboratory that analyzes methylation biomarkers. It detects polyps and adenomas in all their forms, while ensuring high sensitivity even in the early stages of cancer (I & II).
Self-test (FIT): A simple test detecting blood in the stool, which is unable to detect polyps or adenomas unless there is intestinal bleeding, while demonstrating limited sensitivity in early stages of cancer (I & II).
