The Hematology Department of the Falireas Medical Microbiology Center specializes in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of diseases of the blood and the hematopoietic system. We offer reliable hematological tests, from general blood tests to specialized tests for hematological disorders, thrombophilia and coagulation diseases.

Complete Blood Count: Provides information on red and white blood cells, as well as platelets, helping to diagnose anemia, infections and other hematological disorders.
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): Used to detect inflammatory processes in the body.
Reticulocyte count (REC): Evaluates the production of red blood cells by the bone marrow.
Sickle Cell Test: Used to investigate sickle cell anemia.
Hemoglobin Electrophoresis: Detects hemoglobinopathies such as beta-Mediterranean Anemia and Sickle Cell Anemia.
Prothrombin Time (PT/INR) and Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT): They evaluate the blood’s clotting ability and help diagnose clotting disorders.
Fibrinogen (FIB): Measures levels of fibrinogen, a protein that is essential for blood clotting.
It includes tests to detect factors that predispose to thrombosis, such as antithrombin III, protein C, protein S, and factor V Leiden.
